Aptiva - How to remove faxes from the queue in Communications Center

This document applies to all Aptiva systems preloaded with the Aptiva Communications Center. The Aptiva Communications Center allows you to schedule several faxes to be sent at the same time. While these faxes wait to be transmitted, they are held in a "Fax Pending" queue. This document provides a procedure for removing a fax from this queue if it no longer needs to be sent.
1. Open the Communications Center. Do this in Windows 3.x by double-clicking the "Aptiva Productivity" program folder in the Windows Program Manager, and then double-clicking the "Aptiva Communications Center" icon. In Windows 95, open the Communications Center by clicking "Start" -> "Programs" -> "Aptiva Productivity" -> "Aptiva Communications Center" -> "Operator".
2. The Operator program will initialize. Click the "Fax" button to open the fax machine.
3. From the main fax screen , click the "Fax Log" button.
4. The fax log will open. Click the "Sent Faxes" tab to view the faxes that you have sent, or scheduled to send. Faxes that are in the queue, but have not yet been sent will have the word "PENDING" listed next to them.
5. Remove any unwanted pending faxes from the queue by clicking the log entry once to highlight the fax you want to remove, and then clicking "Delete". A message box will appear asking to confirm deletion of the fax. Click "OK"; the fax will be removed from the queue.
6. When you are finished, close the Fax Log by clicking "Done".
