IBM ValuePoint - Hangs with Intel DX4 Overdrive processor upgrade in VP-1

Symptom:
VP-1 system upgraded with Intel DX/4 Overdrive does not work. (VP-1 is a ValuePoint 6384 system without the designation "/D" on the cover.)
Problem Isolation Aids:
System reports a 129 POST error ("processor changed") but cannot be configured to operate correctly
Fix:
The Intel DX4 is not supported. This processor has a 16K internal cache and the VP-1 BIOS only supports 8K. There is no BIOS upgrade available for VP-1.
Note:
It has been reported that the AMD DX4 upgrade (which has has an 8K internal cache) works well in a VP-( Not a supported IBM upgrade)
