Notes:

During Windows 98 Upgrade, the screen may go blank for more that 5 minutes.

If the computer exhibits no sign of activity and the screen remains blank (black) for more that 5 minutes manually power off the system with the power button wait 10 seconds then turn the computer back on. The Windows 98 upgrade will continue as normal.

Stack fault on reboot after uninstalling Microsoft Plus Pack on an Upgraded Windows 98 computer

Uninstall Microsoft Plus! prior to Upgrading the system to Windows 98.

Volume on CD player stops responding after suspend

Use Windows Volume Control to set volume. Also, a new version of Audiostation 32 is available on the Voyetra web site (charges may apply).

Cannot connect with IGN dialer/ IGN connection dials extra numbers

Click on "My Computer" icon on desktop
Click on "Dial-Up Networking"
Click on "IGN Connection"
Click on "Area Code Rules" tab
Unclick check box that says "Use 1 and area code"

This can also be fixed using the work around for Update Connector. Once this is fixed, it will always be fixed.

Cannot connect with Update Connector/ Update Connector dials extra numbers

After starting Update Connector, click on "Modem Properties", Unclick the check box that says "Use 1 and area code"

This can also be fixed using the work around for IGN. Once this is fixed and the user logs onto Update Connector, ver 2.01 with the fixed dialer will automatically download.

Computer hangs when Crystal Drivers are removed through Device Manager and then re-detected via the Refresh button

Reboot system to re-detect the Crystal Drivers instead of clicking on the refresh button.
