The 16.8GB Deskstar HDD is compatible with systems that conform to the American National Standards Institute ATA/ATAPI-4 (X3T13/D1153 Revision 17).

The BIOS in some systems may prevent the user from addressing drives with capacities beyond 528 MB, 2.11 GB, 4.22 GB, or 7.9 GB. For these systems, the Ontrack DiskGo! or Disk Manager software device driver provided in the option is required to utilize the full drive capacity. Follow the instructions provided to use the Ontrack Disk Manager software.
