Instructions to update Ring Central to version 4.10.87 for use with Windows 98. You must first update to version 4.10.87 before you can update to version 4.10.104 which will work with Windows 98.
Note: There are three patches available for download. One of these is specific to the version you have.
rc41078.exe patches RC 4.10.78, updating your version to 4.10.87.
rc41082.exe patches RC 4.10.82, updating your version to 4.10.87.
rc41085.exe patches RC 4.10.85, updating your version to 4.10.87.
Be sure to download the appropriate patch. To see which version of Ring Central you are running, click on Menu in Ring Central and then click on About Ring Central.
Installation Instructions
1. Download the file rc410xx.EXE (where xx = 78 or 82, or 85 depending on you current version).
2. Exit out of Ring Central and any other applications you may have running.
3. Copy the file rc410xx.EXE into the directory RC500.
4. Double-click on the downloaded patch file. It will launch a DOS window and update your Ring Central files.
5. To make sure the patch worked properly, launch Ring Central and click on the Ring Central logo. Check to make sure the version number is now 4.10.87.
6. If the patch did not succeed in updating your files and returned an error message make sure you are currently using either Ring Central version 4.10.78, 4.10.82 or 4.10.85 and that you downloaded the appropriate file.
Note: After updating to version 4.10.87 of Ring Central, you will need to apply one more update to make Ring Central work with Windows 98. To download and install RCUPDT.EXE, follow this link: |
