OVERVIEW

The new IBM PC 300GL, with an Intel(R) Pentium(R) II 233 MHz, 266 MHz, or 300 MHz processor, incorporates the industry's latest technologies such as Accelerated Graphic Port (AGP) video and high-capacity Ultra DMA/33 hard disks. These systems will deliver on the IBM PC Promise of Value by letting you concentrate on your business, not your computers.
STATE OF THE ART SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT
Use exciting, state-of-the-art tools that allow remote and unattended system management. With an IBM PC 300GL and a Wake on LAN(TM) Ethernet or token-ring adapter, you can use IBM's LANClient Control Manager (LCCM) to remotely turn the computer on, format the hard disk, check and update its BIOS and CMOS, and download an operating system all without visiting the machine. Unlike many other entry machines, the IBM PC 300GL is enabled for IBM's Wake on LAN technology, now recognized as an industry standard on many higher priced systems.
INDUSTRY-LEADING ASSET AND DATA PROTECTION
Some of the industry's leading security and data protection technologies complement the system. In addition to laser etching the high dollar components, this component information is recorded on an EEPROM chip and accessed remotely using Netfinity(R) or LANDesk(R) (or any other DMI browser). Administrators can accurately monitor and inventory critical components over the network without visiting each machine. IBM's SMART REACTION, available soon, will take hard disk predictive failure to the next logical step by not only alerting you to a pending hard disk failure but also automatically backing up your data before the failure occurs. ADVANCED INDUSTRIAL DESIGN
Save time and money with the innovative mechanical design for easy and flexible product upgrades and service. The NLX system board, usually reserved for more expensive systems, is now available at the entry level. The system board can be removed and replaced without removing cables and
adapter cards. It also gives excellent access to the system memory and processor making upgrades a snap.
