Aptiva - IBM Aptiva Service Training

US ONLY
One of the requirements for warranty authorization is that you are trained on how to repair the products you are working on. This training requirement may be achieved on IBM Aptiva products by completing self-study courses in the following order:
1. Be A+ Certified
2. Complete Warranty Basics (YPC30) 4 Hours
3. Complete Desktop Systems Service Training (YPC46) 8 Hours
12 Hours
4. Product Update tapes are periodically shipped to support new product announcements. Refer to the Service Support Guide or the PC Institute catalog for a listing of tapes available for this product line.
Additional training requirements are in place for the Premier Personal Computer Servicer Program. See the Service Support Guide for details on this program.
Notes:
Warranty claims you submit may be audited to determine if warranty repairs are made by trained technicians.
Completing service training courses does not automatically make you eligible to submit warranty claims on these products. Refer to your marketing contact or the Service Management Support Center for additional information.
