Aptiva - Communication Center operating tips

Here are some operating tips that we at IBM have found help our customer's experience using the Aptiva Communication Center more productive.
1.) When importing Address Book data, the import must be in a comma delimited format (Instructions on page 85/86 of the manual.)
2.) When you disable the telephone answering machine (TAM), the computer will not pick up to receive a fax.
3.) Be sure to double click on icons and single click on buttons. If you double click on a button, multiple functions may be launched (i.e. DND - The DO NOT DISTURB button).
4.) The default setting for the password is 1001.
5.) If you receive any of the following error messages, you could have a corrupted driver loaded into memory. This will be flushed if you reboot your computer.
a) Init_voice.dll error when attempting to launch the application
b) Mwave modem internal error
c) "Mwave call discriminator not working at this time, please try later" voice message. If you preset the number of rings to 2, the call should pick up by 5-6 rings.
6.) If you pick up an extension while TAM is playing an outgoing message and you wish to stop the OGM, hit '##' .
