Applicable to: World-Wide

Preparation:
1. Be sure to have restarted the computer and observe any errors. Write any errors down, and troubleshoot these errors first.

2. Check along the bottom of the screen if any other multimedia programs which may have been located in the Startup Group are running. If there are, end them.

3. Launch AudioStation by Double Clicking the Aptiva Entertainment Group.
Then, double click the Music Center icon.
Then, double click the Audio Station icon.
...AudioStation will launch.

Note any errors that appear. Trouble shoot any error messages that appear before proceeding further into these diagnostics.

4. Look for the mixer. This is usually the first device on the AudioStation stack.
Make sure that the Mode on the Mixer is selected to Play. (If you do not see a red light by something that says "Record" on the Mixer everything is set correctly.)

5. Look to see that the CD button has a green light in it. If not, click the button and a green indicator light should appear.

6. Raise all the slider controls to the top-most position.

7. Make sure that each of the mute buttons (at the bottom of the slider controls) is not muted. If the letter "M" is black, the mute is set correctly for diagnostics. If the letter "M" is white the settings are incorrect for diagnostics.
