Aptiva-PS/1 - What is the difference between memory storage and disk storage?
Applicable to: World-Wide
Memory refers to the storage area where programs are placed when they execute. This storage is temporary, and any data written to it is lost when your computer is turned off or reset. Disk storage refers to the permanent storage where programs or files are kept. Disk storage is magnetic media and can be either a diskette (5.25" or 3.5") or a fixed disk. Information stored on disk or diskette is not lost when your computer is turned off or reset.
