IBM PC730/PC750 - Diskette drive fails when both 1.44MB and 2.88MB drives present

Symptom:
Various diskette drive access problems when a 1.44MB diskette drive and a 2.88MB diskette drive are installed together.
Problem Isolation Aids:
Removal of either diskette drive prevents the problem occurring.
Fix:
Mixing the two different diskette drives is unsupported - please specify exclusively either the 1.44MB or the 2.88 per system.
