TP 560X - Improving image quality on the LCD (HPA models only)

Symptom:
Flicker or jitter in various images on the 560X display
Configuration:
ThinkPad 560X (HPA LCD models only) with BIOS dates earlier than 04-06-98. The BIOS P/N and the date can be viewed by invoking the Easy-Setup menu.

2640-60F...CAN/FR
2640-60A...AP S. ENG
2640-60S...LA SPAN
2640-60P...LA BRAZ/PORT
2640-600...EMEA
2640-60J...JAPAN
Solution:
Update the BIOS to improve the appearance of the images.

This BIOS upgrade also corrects the following symptom:
Keystroke entry immediately after entering the power on password can result in failure of proper recognition of subsequent keystrokes
That is, a keystroke immediately after the entry of a password (before the operating system is fully loaded), can cause problems with any
subsequent keyboard entry.
