TP General - How to check PCMCIA card status in Device Manager

This document contains information on how to check PCMCIA card status in Device Manager.
1. Start Windows 95.
2. Right click on the My Computer icon.
3. Select Properties with the left mouse button.
4. Click on Device Manager.
5. Find the card inside Device Manager, e.g. modems will be listed under Modems or network cards will be listed under Network Adapters.
6. If the card does not have a red X or yellow !, then it should be configured properly. Double click on the item to bring up its properties. On the first page, it should state "Device is working properly."
7. If the card DOES have a red X, double click on it and make sure Device Usage is checked. If this is an OSR2 system, make sure that the 'disable in this profile' box is not checked under Device Usage. If there is a yellow !, then go into the Properties and check the Resource tab.
