IBM IntelliStation M Pro (Type 6889) - Mylex SCSI adapter halts system under Windows NT

SYMPTOM:
After installing the Mylex FlashPoint LT SCSI adapter device driver and rebooting the system, the system enters a hang condition when the SCSI adapter information is displayed on the screen.
PROBLEM ISOLATION AIDS:
This tip applies to the IBM IntelliStation M Pro Series 6889 systems configured with a Mylex (Buslogic) FlashPoint LT SCSI adapter.
FIX:
Disable PCI Bus parity in F1 Setup via the following steps:
1. During POST, press <F1> to run the Setup utility.
2. Highlight Advanced Setup and press <Enter>.
3. Go to PCI Control, PCI Parity, and change the setting to "Disabled."
4. Save the changes and restart the system.
