Aptiva - Why do I need to backup my fixed disk?
Applicable to: United States
Backing up your fixed disk will ensure that you can recover any files which are accidently erased or corrupted. You are protecting individual files and software programs by copying them to diskettes. Using the backup feature will preserve the work you've done when creating directories and installing software. The backup procedure copies all the files on the fixed disk, as well as the directory structure of your fixed disk, onto diskette. Using the backup feature regularly will safeguard your information and protect you from having to recreate directories and files, or reinstall software.
