TP 365,701,755,760 - MindPath Remote Control problem determination

SYMPTOM:
The ThinkPad system (in this case a 755CDV) was found to be configured correctly, but the Mindpath remote control still would not work. When running the diagnostics for the remote, it was found that the remote was sending incorrect data.
CONFIGURATION:
Any ThinkPad using the MindPath remote control.
SOLUTION:
The remote needs to be reset. To reset the remote press buttons 1 and 2 together, release button 2 then release button 1, then press and release button 5.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
The remote diagnostics can be run from DOS to test the COM port and the remote. The command is :
COMTEST COM1
from the MPFX directory.
