Aptiva - Wake Up On Ring Function Not Working
Applicable to: World-Wide
Symptom:
Wake up on ring function does not operate on two Aptiva models 2168-932 and 2168-9W2.These are UK only models. The systems will be unable to detect incoming telecomms traffic when the system is in SLEEP mode with WAKE UP ON RING feature enabled.
Problem Isolation Guidance:
2168 models 932 and 9W2 as detailed above.
Fix:
Replace the two wire cable between the modem card and planar connector J31.Cable manufacturing p/n is 38h6725,FRU part no is 41h7819. Field FRU stock has been corrected,FRU part no does not change.
