IBM IntelliStation Z Pro (Type 6865) - Hard Disk LED stays lit when SCSI device is not attached

SYMPTOM:
After disconnecting all SCSI devices (i.e. hardfiles) from the SCSI adapter, the green hardfile LED stays on.
PROBLEM ISOLATION AIDS:
This tip applies to the IBM IntelliStation Z Pro Series 6865 systems installed with Windows 98, Japanese language version.
The hardfile LED activity light remains lit when all SCSI devices have been disconnected from the SCSI adapter card. The condition is usually observed when the system has been installed with an IDE hardfile and is no longer running any SCSI devices.
FIX:
To correct the hardfile activity light condition, it is recommended that the SCSI adapter be removed from the system when no SCSI devices are in use.
