IBM PC300PL (Type 6862, 6892) - OS/2 Scroll Point Mouse folder remains on desktop

SYMPTOM:
After installing the standard OS/2 PS/2 style mouse driver to replace the OS/2 ScrollPoint mouse driver, the ScrollPoint mouse folder remains on the OS/2 desktop.
The user is not offered a method to remove the folder.
PROBLEM ISOLATION AIDS:
This tip applies to the IBM PC300PL Series 6862/6892 systems supplied with an IBM ScrollPoint mouse.
FIX:
The ScrollPoint mouse folder can be deleted via the following steps:
1. Create a new, temporary folder on the OS/2 desktop.
2. Drag the ScrollPoint mouse folder into this new folder.
3. Drag the folder to the OS/2 Shredder. Answer yes when prompted to delete the folder and its contents.
