Aptiva - 2159 Mwave driver reinstallation procedure
Applicable to: United States, Canada
US Only
Disclaimer:
1. This document is for models 2159 Service Level A machines with the Mwave Soundcard ONLY. This document does not apply to 2159Sxx systems which have been updated using the 20ED level Mwave upgrade files available on IBM's website.
2. This procedure should only be used with the latest revision of the Diagnostic CD. Presently the latest CD can be identified as part number 76H4686 and having a clear center hub. If the service CD has a Blue hub (76H1560) the software should not be used because damaged software may result.
If both of the above conditions are true following the steps below. If the Diagnostic CD's hub is BLUE then order a replacement CD by contacting the HelpCenter and once the CD arrives, continue with the steps below. Again, DO NOT ATTEMPT USING THE BLUE HUB P/N 76H1560 CD for this procedure!!
