How to use Device Manager to uninstall and reinstall devices.

In Windows 95, you will want to go to Device Manager.

  1. Turn on the ThinkPad and start Windows 95
  2. Click on Start+Settings+Control Panel
  3. Double-click on the System icon
  4. Click on the Device Manager Tab
  5. Click on the category you want
  6. Highlight the particular device you want to uinstall
  7. Click on Remove and then click OK
  8. Restart (Start+Shutdown+Restart the computer+Yes) and if the device is present, Windows 95 should redetect and reinstall the support for it.
