Abstract: THINKPAD BATTERY WARRANTY COST REDUCTION SCREEN

One of the high cost warranty items on ThinkPads relate to the various Thinkpad batteries.
In a lot of cases the battery is replaced for the customer where the battery appears to be defective. However it is also possible to recover the battery by using the appropriate Quick Charger Option.
It is recommended that the quick charger options are installed in each country repair centre to allow the batteries to be re-utilized (where possible) which will help to reduce country warranty cost.
The Quick Charger Option P/Ns (which can be ordered on Greenock via the country UPOS order desk ) are as follows:
11J8985 Quick Charger Option (Contains the attachment for TP560 and TP770 )
02K6499 Quick Charger Option (Contains the attachment for TP380, TP560, TP600, TP770)
TOTQCEU Quick Charger Option (TP755/TP760)
