Where specified, on-site service is available 9 am - 5 pm Monday to Friday excluding public holidays.
For products defined as customer carry in or products not designated for onsite service, please contact IBM for the current address of the nearest IBM Service Centres applicable to your products.
1 On-site service will only be performed where product designated for on-site service is located within 100 km by road from IBM'sCapital City Service Centres or 25 km by road from IBM's Regional Service Centres. Outside of these service boundaries, customer carry in service applies.
2Over 100km by road from IBM's Capital City Service Centres it is a customer's responsibility to send the machine to the closest IBM Capital City Service Centre at the customers expense. IBM will pay return transportation charges to the customers location.
3 All transport costs are the customer's responsibility.
4 Where an IBM Monitor in warranty is attached to an IBM System Unit in warranty, the service delivery method will follow that of the system unit.

Please Note: Warranty service is only provided for machines (designated by the four digit machine type) that are formally released by IBM in the country where the warranty service is being requested. For machines purchased or acquired in another country please refer to the following statements on IBM PC International Warranty Service.

IBM PC International Warranty Service

In addition to the above Warranty, IBM offers an International Warranty Service (IWS). IWS allows customers to travel or relocate PC equipment to another country while still retaining the ability to receive warranty service until the system's original warranty period expires.

IWS is available only in countries where the IBM product is sold and serviced. The service delivery methods of the receiving country will be in effect and may be different to those in the originating country

On registration for IWS, IBM will issue a certificate which will be recognised world wide by IBM and IBM reseller service organisations. Present it at the time of service and warranty service will be honoured.

To register for IWS in Australia or New Zealand fax IBM on 61-2-9894-6283 and provide: proof of purchase and original purchase date - originating country - sending customer name, contact, address, phone and fax number - Machine type/model and product serial number - destination contact, address, phone and fax numbers - state whether relocation or traveller status.
