Aptiva - 2168 Voice Type Dictation does not print on my HP Laser Jet 4L
Applicable to: World-Wide
Question:
The text within my Voice Type Dictation window does not print with my HP Laser Jet 4L. How can I fix this?
Answer:
If you are having troubles printing the text in the Voice Type Dictation window on your HP Laser Jet 4L, then this will help you. What you will need to do is update your HP printer drivers and then disable the print spooler. The updated driver ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/printers/software/mp240en.exe can be downloaded from the http://www.hp.com site.
Once you have installed the newer HP Printer drivers, then you need to do the following:
1. Double-click on the "OS/2 SYSTEM" icon on the desktop.
2. Double-click on the "SYSTEM SETUP" icon.
3. Right-click on the "SPOOLER".
4. Left-click on the "DISABLE SPOOLER" line.
Now the text should print fine on your HP Laser Jet 4L.
