PS/1 - Impact on Data with Disconnection in PS/1

When your IBM PS/1 is disconnected from an outlet and/or the system is turned off, there is no loss to the data on your fixed disk. However, disconnecting and/or turning off the PS/1 will result in data loss of any file you are currently working with, if that document was not saved previous to closing or turning off the system. This problem can be resolved by frequently saving your working document.
We strongly suggest backing up the fixed disk regularly in case there is a power failure. This can be a valuable resource in the event of problem with your fixed
