Problem:
Fdisk failed to partition a 8.4GB hard drive.
Solution:
On some computers the MBR of the BIOS is Write Protected. The Write Protection has to be disabled in BIOS to partition the drive.
Problem:
Installing a new hard disk on a machine and the drive letters are not appearing in Win95 (My Computer), but they are appearing in DOS.
Solution:
A program called TweakUI might be the problem. This program will automatically hide the drive letters of the newly installed drive. TweakUI has to be adjusted so that the new drive letters will show in My Computer.
