TP General - CardBus PC Card needs to be re-installed when moved to a different socket
Applicable to: World-Wide
SYMPTOM:
A CardBus PC Card must be re-installed whenever the card is moved to a new socket where it has not been installed before.
CONFIGURATION:
Any machine with a CardBus socket controller running Windows 95 OSR2 or Windows 98.
Note: Not all ThinkPads have CardBus PC Card slots. The ThinkPad 380 and 385 series provides CardBus support through the Port Replicator only (excluding 380Z).
SOLUTION:
There is no solution. This is how Microsoft designed the operating system to handle CardBus PC Cards.
