IBM 3488/89 InfoWindow Terminal - Shared addressing

Service Information:
This tip relates to the Shared Addressing feature on the 3488 Model V and /or 3489 Display. If communication between the display and the system is stopped (e.g. Auto session disconnect feature, system IPL, cable removed) and then resumed,the display may enter an unknown state. Symptoms include a 0003 keyboard error when a key is pressed , or no response to an initial JUMP key press.
These symptoms can be cleared by pressing and releasing both ALT keys followed by selecting each of the sessions in turn and pressing the RESET key. The alternative workaround is to power the display logic unit off and back on.
