Aptiva - Printing Page Numbers in Form Letters

When printing a form letter with a page number, the page numbers will not reset after printing the first record. This will cause your page numbers to continue going up one number at a time until all records are printed. For example, if you have 200 records, the page number on the last printed form letter will print as page 200. This problem occurs using &p in the header or footer, or if you choose the Print Page Number option after choosing Special Character from the Insert menu.

Work-arounds:
One-Page Form Letter:
Because the page number on a one-page form letter should always be 1, you can enter 1 in the Header or Footer text box. For example, instead of entering &c&p into the Header or Footer text box to print a centered page number, enter &c1. This will print the number 1 centered on each page.

Two-Page Form Letter:
Manually type the corresponding number at the top or bottom of each page of the form letter. The top and bottom margins may need to be reduced to compensate.
