Applicable to: World-Wide
Product Involved:
Option p/n: 76H0485
FRU p/n: 76H0487
Description: IBM 20/40GB 8mm SCSI Tape Drive
Problem:
The tape cartridge for the IBM 20/40GB 8mm SCSI Tape Drive may fail to eject.
Resolution:
There was a small exposure where several drives reached the field where the drive has the possibility of oil leaking causing the tape to stick to the drum. If this occurs, replace the drive.
Note: HelpCenter representatives who initiate a warranty claim for an end-user must capture the serial number in the LENA case.
