TP 755 - Installing AS/400 PC Support And 5250 Emulation Card

Service Information:
If you have difficulties when installing AS/400 PC Support on ThinkPad 755 with 5250 PCMCIA Emulation Adapter, pls follow the below procedure:

1. Check if you have all of this:
- ThinkPad 755 Uinstall Diskette.
- 5250 PCMCIA Adapter Support Diskette.
- 5250 PCMCIA Enabler/Diagnostic Diskette.
- PC Support diskette V2 R1 or above Version.
2. Check the CONFIG.SYS file in your ThinkPad and see if it contains the PCMCIA Socket Service and Card Service, i.e.:
DEVICE=C:\THINKPAD\IBMDSS01.SYS /S0=2
DEVICE=C:\THINKPAD\IBMDOSCS.SYS
3. Use the 5250 Enabler diskette and type "SETUP C:\ENB5250" to install enabler files under C:\ENB5250, choose "Card Service 2.0" and follow the instructions to add lines in CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT;
4. Edit C:\ENB5250\CFG5250.DAT, change line 4 "INT=0005, 0004,..." to "INT=0003, 0004,...";
5. Use PC Support diskette to install PC Support programs.
6. Use 5250 Adapter Support diskette to copy the directory \SFPCS to PC Support directory;
7. Edit file STARTPCS.BAT under PC Support directory, remark the line "E5250AH/Z" and add the following statement:

For Basic DOS: "CALL LDMCAAHS E filename"
For Extended DOS: "CALL LDMCAAHS B filename"
Filename id the path and file name of AH.MR0, e.g.:
"CALL LDMCAAHS E C:\PCS\MRI2924\AH.MR0"

8. Reboot the computer and start PC Support.
