Aptiva 2134 and 2176 Cxx - Hiss sound in headset

Symptom:
A hiss can be heard when a headset is plugged into the speakers.
Reason:
The reason for this is that this Aptiva has powered speakers and this amplifies the hiss in the headset.
Solution:
The problem is eliminated if the customer plugs the headphones into the audio card rather then the speakers.
