Copying a document
The copy function launches Textbridge to scan in text documents in ONLY black and white at 300 dpi and converts the image into a preferred word processor-compatible file.
E-mail a document
The e-mail functoin scans in a color image at 75 dpi so you can email it using Microsoft Exchange or Microsoft Outlook
Faxing a document.
The fax function launches Textbridge to scan in text documents in ONLY black and white at 300 dpi and sends it to your fax applicatoin.
Image Discoloration
Don't spray liquid glass cleaner directly on the scanner glass. Excess liquid can seep into the edges and cause temporay image discoloration. Instead, wipe off the glass with a clean lint-free cloth lightly dampen with glass cleaner.
Dark areas appear around copied image
When using the Copy function use a sheet of white paper behind the document. This will minimize dark areas around the small document and use less black ink from your printer.
Scanning large or high resolution images
When scanning each image, monitor the image size before beginning your scan. Combinations of large image sizes and high resolution (high dpi) will drastically increase the file size required for the image. The larger the image the more data must be transferred and processed. Large file sizes will take much longer to scan and they will fill up your hardfile very quickly. Reduce the size of the image to speed up the scan time.
Image size limit of 256 MB in Windows 95 and Windows 98
PhotoStudio Suite applications limit the size of each image to 256MB in Windows 95 and Windows 98. Scanning large images in high resolution (like 9600 dpi) will exceed this limitation. In high resolution scanning reduce the image size in the TWAIN program until the file size drops below 256MB. Use the TWAIN program zoom function to select smaller areas.
