IBM 3152 Display Terminals - New logic card
Applicable to: World-Wide
Symptom:
This TDR is only applicable using the RS-422 Interface with Model 3152. Certain displays may have been shipped without Interposers.
Displays in the serial number range 22430 to 22670 (inclusive) may require an interposer to correct any wiring/communication problems.
Problem Isolation Aids:
A new logic card for Model 3152 was released in Week 22 - 93.
Fix:
Interposers are no longer required for use with any 3152 Display allocated a serial number GREATER than 22670. These Models will contain the new Logic Card.
Additionally , displays in the serial no range 22430 to 22670 (inclusive) may NOT require an interposer/adapter to correct any wiring or communication problems. To verify if the interposer is required or not CE can check the logic card hardware revision level ( this is indicated on the sticker on the logic board). Any board marked with level C1 is a new card and therefore an interposer is not required.
