7855 Modem - Resetting to factory default settings

How can you reset an IBM 7855 Modem back to its factory default settings?
Solution:
The easiest way to get a 7855 modem back to its factory settings is to use the front panel arrow buttons as follows:
1. Press the left and right arrow buttons at the same time until the modem's display reads "Exit Enter ".
2. Press the right arrow button once.
3. If the modem's display reads "PASSWORD XXXX", use the arrow buttons to change XXXX to B293 and them press the right arrow button once.
4. The modem's display should show "View Only". If it does not, repeat from step 1. If it does, use the up or down arrow button until the display shows "First Setup".
5. Press the right arrow button once.
6. Use the up or down arrow button until the display shows Reset to "Factory".
7. Press and hold the left arrow button until the display stops changing.
