Aptiva - 2142 - How to reinstall the STB DVD Theater

Applicable to: Canada, United States

Note: It is recommended that you remove the STB DVD device from Device Manager before you reinstall the STB DVD Theater. Simply remove the DVD STB Theater device listed under DVD in Device Manager and click on Refresh. The device should re-install on it's own when you restart Windows 95.

1. Uninstallation is required beforehand :

Click on Start -> Programs -> Aptiva Entertainment -> STB -> Uninstall

2. You MUST reboot Windows after the uninstallation or you will encounter an open file error during re-installation.

3. Re-installation :

Insert Diagnostics and Utilities CD
Click on Start -> Run -> Browse to G:\DISK\STBDVD\101239A\SETUP.EXE
Chose the default path but you must select Aptiva Entertainment from the menu list.
