Aptiva - CompuServe Errors experienced on Aptivas (United Kingdom)

Situation:
When trying to access CompuServe, occasionally the user will experience the following errors:

"Could Not Dial the DUN Phonebook entry"

After this, if connection is retried immediately, WINSOCK errors will occur. A full shutdown and reboot is then required.

Solution:
This is casued by the fact that the US version of CompuServe software is preloaded with Windows 95. To get round these errors, contact CompuServe for the latest UK or country specific version of the software. This will prevent further errors.
