Aptiva - 2144/2168 (SL-H) Considerations: 2168 door makes a "ratchety" noise when closed
Applicable to: World-Wide
Situation:
This sound usually happens when the customer closes the door swiftly and the gear skips a few teeth. Sometimes, when this occurs in a more exaggerated fashion, it is a result of the panel holding the track being slightly bowed.
Response to customer:
If the customer has the latter symptom, he or she can pinch along the right side of the door frame inside, past the track. The track should click back into place and the door should once again move smoothly.
