Aptiva - 2139/2140/2142 systems locking during first boot
Applicable to: World-Wide
Some Aptiva 2139, 2140 and 2142 system owners have reported their system locking up if the mouse is moved when the system booted into Windows 95 or Windows 98 for the first time. This lock-up is often caused by attaching the incorrect keyboard and/or mouse to the system. The Scrollpoint mouse and EZ-Button or Rapid Access keyboard that came with the Aptiva must be attached during first boot. Other keyboards and mice will cause system lockups.
