TP 365X/XD,560 - System Initialization after BIOS update
Applicable to: World-Wide
Subject :
New Information on Updating Thinkpad 560, 365X/XD Product Development has advised us that the ThinkPad 560 family and 365X,XD products do NOT require system initialization after a BIOS ROM flash update.
By not initializing the system after a BIOS update, configuration problems that often occur when the customized settings are lost, can be avoided.
As for 760 family, the system initialization is required. Development plans to find a way to save/restore the system parameter values.
