ISA V.34 HPC Modem - Modem impairs Netscape mail
Applicable to: United States
Problem:
Modem impairs Netscape mail use when using DOS 6.22 and Windows 3.1.
Explanation:
The Host Processor Controlled modem maybe taking to much of the system's resources for mail to work.
Solution:
Note: This solution may reduce the modem speed to some degree. Create a "custom" string. Select Hayes 33.6 generic type 1 then add the %N5 to the initialization string. This forces the HPC modem to not take all the system resources.
