Aptiva - 2144/2168 Making a Recovery disk from the Aptiva Exploration CD

If you have not made a Recovery disk or disks, you can make one from the Aptiva Exploration CD. You will need 3.5" diskettes for this process. Perform the following procedure:
For a system loaded with Windows 95:
1. Insert the Aptiva Exploration CD into your CD-Rom drive.
2. Go to a MS-DOS prompt, and change to the CD-Rom drive.
3. Type: CD\RECOVERY <Enter>
4. Type: LOADDSKF RECOVERY.IMG A: <Enter>
5. You will be prompted for a 3.5 floppy diskette.
For a system loaded with OS/2 and Windows:
1. Insert the Aptiva Exploration CD into your CD-Rom drive.
2. Go to a Command prompt, and change to the CD-Rom drive.
3. Type: CD\RECOVERY
For Steps 4-6 you will need three formatted 3.5 floppy diskettes.
4. Type: LOADDSKF RECOVER1.IMG A: <Enter> (This will make Recovery disk #1).
5. Type: LOADDSKF RECOVER2.IMG A: <Enter> (This will make Recovery disk #2).
6. Type: LOADDSKF RECOVER3.IMG A: <Enter> (This will make Recovery disk #3).
