Aptiva - 2136/2137 - ASCII text in Device Manager (Sweden)

Symptom:
There is corrupted text appearing in System Properties >> Device Manager >> Ports.
(Egenskaper för System >> Enhetshanteraren >> Portar)
This problem is due to a corrupted file (MSPORTS.INF) in Windows 95.
Solution:
The MSPORTS.INF file may be updated manually or automatically:
To manually update MSPORTS.INF:
- Replace the existing MSPORTS.INF file with the updated on in the directories \WINDOWS\INF and \WINDOWS\OPTIONS\CABS\ directories.
To automatically update MSPORTS.INF:
- Use the MSPORTS.EXE to create a bootable diskette. After creating diskette, shut down the system leaving the diskette in the diskette drive. Restart the system. Updates will be made automatically.
