TP General - Properly cleaning CD media

CD media can become unreadable or generate errors if improperly cleaned. When cleaning CD's, use a clean, soft, lint free cloth, moistened with a little isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol, and clean the disc in a radial fashion (from center to outside edge). It is important to AVOID a circular cleaning pattern, as any debris trapped by the cloth, which could cause a scratch, would then scratch in a circular or tangential direction (the same direction as the track) and could cause data loss.
