Aptiva - Lockup on reboot when reinstalling Lotus SmartSuite

Symptom:
End user installs Lotus SmartSuite, uninstalls Lotus SmartSuite, and then reinstalls Lotus SmartSuite. When reinstalling, the user selects RESTART NOW. System hangs at Windows 98 splash screen or hangs with a pattern of white dots.

Solution:
User should not select RESTART NOW or YES when prompted to restart at the end of the reinstallation of Lotus SmartSuite. The user should select NO, exit the install program and then manually restart the system using the START>SHUT DOWN>RESTART menu.
