Aptiva - Standby problems with Rapid Resume Automatic Power Off (Netherlands)

Situation:
Rapid Resume Automatic Power Off does not function properly after the Aptiva has been "awakened" by an incoming call. The incoming call is received properly by the Aptiva, but the system will continue to stay "awake", regardless of the BIOS settings for Standby and Rapid Resume.

Soulution:
As this happens only after the machine has performed a wakeup-on-ring, try two things, in this order:

1. Reseat the Wake-Up On Ring cable.
2. Replace the modem.
