PS/1 - Can I restore one of the preloaded programs to my 2133, 2155, or 2141?

* This article does not apply to those PS/1 systems with OS/2 pre-installed!

If you have created a Recovery diskette, then you may easily restore all of your "preloaded" programs to your hard disk. For complete instructions, please see the question "How can I restore my original PS/1 software to my 2133, 2155, or 2141?" To restore a specific directory, please follow these steps:

(NOTE: This will not work if you have selected ERASE from the PS/1 Fitness program.)

1) Exit Windows and select the DOS Prompt option.

2) Type: CD\RECOVERY and press [Enter].

3) Type:

PKUNZIP -O -D *.ZIP (dir)\*.* C:\(dir) and press [Enter].

(dir) represents the program directory you wish to restore. For example, if you need to restore Microsoft Windows, then you would type the following:

PKUNZIP -O -D *.ZIP WINDOWS\*.*

C:\WINDOWS and press [Enter].

For PS/1 units that were pre-installed with Dos 6.x, you can use PS1UNZIP (drive letter)\ (directory)\ filename
Ex: PS1UNZIP C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM.INI
" *.* " = Can be used for all files in a given directory.

**NOTE: This command should be entered on one line.
