TP General - PC Cards may not be recognized after warm docking a computer to the docking station

Applicable to: World-Wide

Symptom:
A PC Card or a CardBus Card in the docking station or the port replicator is not recognized if the ThinkPad is attached in suspend mode to the docking station or the port replicator and operation is resumed from suspend mode.

Configuration:
A PC card in a docking station or a port replicator attached to a ThinkPad.


Workaround:
If your system can attach the docking station or port replicator while the system power is ON, attach the system without entering in suspend mode. If not, unplug the PC Card before you attach the system. After the system is attached to the docking station or a port replicator and the operation is resumed, plug in the PC Card. Or use the PC card in your system PC Card slot .
