ThinkPad 770 DVD Drive - Installing the updated ThinkPad video feature drivers for Windows 95

The ThinkPad 770 DVD CD-ROM Drive will include an updated ThinkPad Video Feature Diskette for Windows 95. If you plan to view DVD movies with the DVD CD-ROM Drive, install the ThinkPad Display Driver for Windows 95. The following are the instructions that will be included with the ThinkPad 770 DVD CD-ROM Drive.

Installing the Thinkpad Display Driver for Windows 95:

If you plan to view DVD movies using your ThinkPad 770 DVD CD-ROM Drive, install the ThinkPad display driver for Windows 95 from the ThinkPad Video Feature Diskette for Windows 95.

Installation Instructions:

For Windows 95 OSR2 and OSR2.1:
1. Start Windows 95.
2. Double-click on My Computer, Control Panel, Display, and then click on the Settings tab.
3. Click on the Advanced Properties button.
4. Click on the Adapter tab, then click on Change...
5. Click on Have Disk... , then click OK.
6. Insert the Thinkpad Video Features Diskette IV for Windows 95 into the diskette drive and click on OK.
7. Select IBM Thinkpad (Cyber 9397) PCI, then click OK.
8. Click on Close.
9. Select your screen parameters from the color palette, desktop area, and font size, then click on Close.
10. Follow the instructions on screen.

You will be prompted to restart Windows 95 to make the display driver changes take effect.

For Windows 95 OSR0 and OSR1:
1. Start Windows 95.
2. Double-click on My Computer and then on Control Panel.
3. Double-click on Display, then click on the Settings tab.
4. Click on the Change Display Type... button.
5. Click on Change under Adapter Type.
6. Click on Have Disk...
7. Make sure the drive letter selected is A:\ and click on OK.
8. Insert the Thinkpad Video Features Diskette IV for Windows 95 into the diskette drive and click on OK.
9. Click on IBM Thinkpad (Cyber 9397) PCI, then click on OK.
10. Click on Close.
11. Select your screen parameters from the color palette, desktop area, and font size, then click on Close. If you have not specified the type of monitor you want to use, your new settings might not function correctly. When you are prompted to specify a monitor, select the correct LCD or an external monitor for your use. Follow the instructions on the screen.

You will be prompted to restart Windows 95 to make the display driver changes take effect.
