Network Station - Current time error message at boot time
Applicable to: World-Wide
SYMPTOM:
Network Station applications such as NC Navigator email or eSuite have incorrect time stamps.
SOLUTION:
PTF SF50279 will fix this problem. In addition to applying this PTF, the OS/400 system value QUTCOFFSET will have to be set to the proper value. To change this value, do the following:
1. Type WRKSYSVAL QUTCOFFSET on the OS/400 command line and hit enter.
2. Type 2 next to QUTCOFFSET and hit enter.
3. Change offset to the number of hours and minutes the current system time differs from the Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) by subtracting from local time to obtain Greenwich mean time, for example -05:00 (CDT).
4. Access Network Station Manager and select: Startup, Environment Variables and System Defaults. Then, add TZ as an environment variable with the value that applies to your time zone, for example (Central Daylight Time).
